Southwest NISCA Academic All-Americans Lefebvre & Schwarzkopf

Karl Schwarzkopf- Karl Schwarzkopf, a senior co-captain, defended his individual section 2AA title in the 100BK for 2nd consecutive year.  He has been a key element of success within the Southwest Boy’s Swimming & Diving team for the past six years leaving behind a section record, 4 school records, 2 conference records, and a section swimmer of the meet honor.  Karl has competed in his third state meet this year earning All-State honors while adding an All-American consideration in the 50 Freestyle as well. While all these swimming accomplishments are significant what is more impressive is Karl's drive and determination to fight off a near season ending injury and return to form at the end of the season.  He also maintains a 3.95 GPA, earning NISCA Academic All-American status.

Peter Lefebvre- Peter Lefebvre, a senior co-captain, has truly been instrumental in the success of the Southwest Boy's Swimming & Diving team for the past six years.  He currently holds two individual school records and is a part of two relay school records.  Peter also holds a conference record in the 200 Freestyle.  Competing in his forth state meet, he obtained All-State status in 2 events (200 Free and 100 Back), Peter has always handled himself in a calm sportsmanlike manner while competing at a high competitive level.  His contribution at the state meet led Southwest to a 12th place finish- the highest in school history.  Peter also has been recognized as a National Merit finalist and maintains a 3.99 GPA, earning NISCA Academic All-American status.
