Southwest Economic Congress Wins Two

Twenty Southwest seniors attended this year's Economic Congress on the U of M St Paul campus. 

There students debated with and against teams from four other Minneapolis high schools.  Topics of the three debates covered personal finance, microeconomics and macroeconomics. 

This year's debates were on how to finance a college education, raising the minimum wage, and outsourcing.
Southwest students won two of the three debates.  Students were well prepared and did a great job!
