About a thousand people were in attendance at last night's 2011-12 Open House. Parents have a better feeling about passing time and trying to get through the halls from one end of the building to the other. Following the student's six period schedule was a bit of frustration and fun. The evening was explanation of various classes, brief meeting of teachers and chatting with other parents.

It WAS fun! Next time, could you open the cafeteria so that parents can easily get to those hard-to-reach basement classrooms on either side of the cafeteria? Thanks for a great evening of presentations!
But the cafeteria isn't open for students during passing time, so that would seem to contradict the idea of having parents have to see exactly what it is like for their kids, no shortcuts...
Normally the cafeteria is open during passing time for students. That extra space attempts to assist students getting to 30, 31, 32, ect. without going though the around hallway. It was not open during parents open house, sorry.
