have been blended into one end of the year celebration meeting.

The Office of Student, Family and Community Engagement invites you to our year end celebration to discuss two important topics that support student achievement and ensure all MPS students are college and career ready.
  • Student Progress Reporting - Learn about a proposed process for reporting student academic progress to parents, guardians and give feedback to help shape this process.
  • Strategic Planning - Earlier this year there were conversations about what's working an what's not working in MPS.  Now it's time to review areas you identified as priorities that will be articulated in a new 2014-2020 Strategic Plan.
This meeting will feature student entertainment, great food and an opportunity to meet parents and community members from across the district.

Summer Food Program
 
 
What is the Summer Food Service Program?
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was created to ensure that children could continue to receive nutritious meals during summer vacation, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. Minneapolis Public Schools Culinary and Nutrition Services Department is a local sponsor of theUSDA Summer Food Service Program, which provides nutritious meals and snacks served in Minneapolis schools, parks, and community sites.
When does the SFSP start and end?
The 2014 Summer Food Service Program will run Monday, June 9 - Friday, August 16. There will be no meal service on Thursday, July 4.
What does it cost to be on the program?
Absolutely nothing! Meals and snacks served through the Summer Food Service Program areFREE to ALL children ages 1-18.

Application Deadlines 
  • MPS K-8 students application deadline is May 16th, 2014.  Applications received after May 16th will be placed on a waiting list.
  • MPS 9-12 High School students should see their school counselor to register for summer programming beginning in March.

9th-12th grade: June 16, 2014 - July 10, 2014 Monday through Thursday
