Southwest Black Box Our Town Opens January 21

Unhinged Theatre Company Presents: Our Town

Directed by Anna Moskowitz, Anna Young and Emma Price

Thornton Wilder’s great American play runs January 21-24 at 7:00 pm in the Black Box Theater at Southwest High School.

Our Town, the beloved American play by Thornton Wilder, is re-imagined at Southwest High School with a contemporary spin. Exploring themes such as time, the cycle of human life, and the artificiality of theater itself, the play is performed in three acts; “Daily Life”, “Love and Marriage” and “Death and Dying."

Our Town is introduced and narrated by the Stage Manager, who welcomes the audience to the fictional town of Grover’s Corners. The stage is largely empty except for some tables and chairs to represent homes, with the actors pantomiming their activities and chores. Filled with love, loss, humor and music, this is not a production to be missed!

Adults $10, Students $5, buy tickets at the door...you may want to try to go to the Wed. or Thurs. show as Fridays and Saturdays tend to get full.
