Frequently Asked Questions
1) How do I nominate people for homecoming court?
- Homecoming Nomination boxes are located at the front desk or outside the Student Council Office. Please make all nominations by Friday, September 24th.

2) Where is the Homecoming Dance?
- Homecoming is a semi-formal dance located at International Market Square in Minneapolis right off of Lyndale Avenue and Market Street. Directions can be found on the back of your ticket.

3) What is a Power Pack? -- SOLD OUT
- The Power Pack is the most affordable option to purchase tickets and Southwest Spirit items for Homecoming Week but it is only available for a limited time and there is limited supply. The Power Pack includes: SW string backpack, 612 T-Shirt, Homecoming Dance ticket, Homecoming Football Game ticket, Free Popcorn at the Game, Free Drink at the Dance, and Free Ben & Jerry’s. A Power Pack costs $55 for a couple and $30 for a single.

4) How much are regular Homecoming Tickets?
- Regular Homecoming Tickets cost $55 for a couple and $30 for a single. Regular Homecoming Ticket package includes: Homecoming Dance ticket, and Homecoming Football Game ticket. Regular tickets are the same price as the Power Pack and they are on-sale until October 8th.

5) Who usually goes to Homecoming?
- Homecoming is an all school dance and it is a great way to start the school year!

6) What are Spirit Days?
- Each day during Homecoming Week there will be a themed day where all SW students dress up (be appropriate) according to the theme. Prizes will be awarded on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for the best outfits!

SW Student Council has been working hard to make this an exciting week for all SW students!

Tuesday, October 5th
Spirit Day: Under the Sea Day
Activities: Varsity Girls Soccer Game vs. Washburn @ 3:30 pm at SW Stadium
Varsity Boys Soccer Game vs. Washburn @ 5:00 pm at SW Stadium

Wednesday, October 6th
Spirit Day: Favorite Color Day
Activities: Link Crew Activity during 4th Hour at Pershing Park

Thursday, October 7th Spirit Day: Multiplicity Day (get a big group of people to match)
Activities: Varsity Volleyball Game vs. Edison @ 7:00 pm in SW West Gym

Friday, October 8th:
Spirit Day: Laker Day
Activities: Pepfest at SW Stadium 2:00 PM
Talent Show in SW Auditorium @ 7:00 pm

Saturday, October 9th:
8:30 am – Powderpuff Football Game (Junior Girls vs. Senior Girls @ SW Stadium)
10:00 am – Homecoming Parade (starts at SW circle)
11:00 am – Homecoming Football Game (at SW Stadium vs. Roosevelt)
7:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Homecoming Dance at International Market Square
