Please
join the Southwest Community this Thursday evening, August 29th at 7 p.m. to
celebrate the beginning of a new era of football and soccer under the lights.
The Lakers will take on St Paul Central for the first football game under the
lights which were installed this month at the Southwest stadium, which will
also be renamed Fredrickson/Peterson Field in honor of two legendary Southwest
Coaches.
Arrive early, as the first 250 fans wearing purple or other SW
gear will receive a free "Turn on the Lights" tee shirt.
There will be a pre-game ceremony honoring the Fredrickson and Peterson
families, and where Harvey Feldman, the SW alumnus who financed the
installation of lights, will pull the switch to "Turn on the Lights".
In addition, former Miss America, recording and Broadway star and
Southwest grad Dorothy Benham will sing the National Anthem.
Don't miss
this historic night! $6 for adults, $4 for students.
