Souhtwest Violinists Szychaiski and Durben Play at Mayor Inauguration Monday 9:15 am

Just wanted to let you know that two Southwest High School students--Ava Szychalski (junior) and Sam Durben (senior), both violinists at MacPhail Center for Music--will be performing as part of Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges' Inauguration Ceremony tomorrow, January 6, at the City Hall Rotunda.

"The Mayor is truly honored and excited to have Ava and Sam there," says Ben Hecker, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Mayor.

They'll perform during the prelude, play a featured duet piece, and a postlude.

The event begins at 9:15 am and will also be broadcast on TV live and on other dates in January.
