At the break of dawn the process begins to establish the temporary connection between the East and the West building. It will take a couple weeks to finish the new link. Once built, it will be installed between door 16 on the East building and door 13 on the West building. That will block and seal the construction area between 47th and the north side of the link area.
Between now and Spring Break we will finish the process of moving Community Education classes and other events out of the East building. We will be limiting the traffic after school hours in the temporary walkway. Regular classes and hours between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm will be maintained.
Each day there is more machinery and slowly the 18 month process of creating the New Southwest High School begins.
