This year for the Pride celebration in Minneapolis, PFLAG
Twin Cities is partnering with 3M on a very special project to
promote and celebrate the love, understanding, and support of parents for
their LGBTQ children.
On Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 pm, 3M representatives will be
at the monthly PFLAG meeting to take photo portraits and/or video clips
of parents proclaiming support of their LGBTQ children. The photos
and videos will be mixed in with other visuals and displayed at the Twin
Cities Pride Festival in Loring Park on June 24 & 25.
LGBTQIA persons are welcome to attend the meeting, but the
real focus will be on the parents who wish to express pride and support
of their LGBTQ loved ones.
PFLAG invites you to share in this
wonderful show of pride by taking part in this special project and
continue the example of loving support started by Jeanne Manford,
the founder of PFLAG, when she marched in her first Pride Parade 45 years
ago.
Date changed from June 20th to the 13th!
