End-of-the-Year Tax Deduction

End of the year tax deduction.  There are numerous ways to donate to the continuing success of your Southwest students.  The simple method is to write a check to Southwest High School and send or mail the check to the school.

If you wish you can write in the memo line a particular department or cause you would like to financially support.

The Southwest Foundation supports the school in a variety of manners - scholarships, athletics, the stadium lights project and academic excellence.  Write a check to the Southwest High School Foundation and mail the check to the high school.

Recognize your student's favorite teacher(s).  Write a check to Southwest High School and donate on behalf of that teacher(s).  The named teacher will receive a certificate indicating that X amount was donate for Southwest Academic Excellence in her/his name.

Remember - as long as you write your check and put it in the mail in 2012, you can deduct it in 2012.

Check with your tax accountant and the IRS rules for verification of applicable tax deductions.
