Monday the 17th is a regular school day for all Minneapolis Schools and Southwest High School. School is in session all five days this week.
There are no after school activities with the exception of athletics, robotics and auditions for Tommy. That was announced to teachers and students last week.
The side streets, including 47th, are slippery. Be careful at intersections. The hill coming up to school in 47th is in good shape but the rest of the side streets remain slippery. As there is more traffic and a little more heat they probably will be worse. Be very careful driving and walking around school. Main streets are in good shape for this time of year.
Plan on a little extra time with the cold and slippery conditions. Parking remains a problem and plan on parking several blocks away from the school.
This is a full school week. Winter Break starts Saturday the 22 and ends Tuesday January 1. The first day back to school is Wednesday January 2, 2013
