School OPEN Monday Dec. 10 Regular Hours

All MInenapolis Schools including Southwest High School are open regular hours on Monday, Dec. 10.

Be prepared for late buses.  It is very cold and dress warmly protecting open skin areas - face and hands for example.  The wind chill is very cold.

Main streets are passable but side streets are very slow moving.  Most are down to one lane.  You can get up the hill in front of the school on 47th but is very slow and once traffic starts I suspect that will be the spot of numerous delays.

Parking will be terrible.  There is a snow emergency.  Most side streets are one lane and there is very little parking around the school.

Please drop off students on Abbott or Chowen or 47th.  All the doors are open and will be until 9:00 am this snowy Monday morning.  The front of the school will be very congested with buses.

Be careful walking, the streets aer very slippery and the sidewalks are snow covered.
