In the proposed Board of Education Discipline Policy there are specific responsibilities for Superintendent, Principals, Teachers, Parents and Students. Families are encouraged to review the proposed policy with their family and children. Families are responsible for the appropriate behavior of their children and children as appropriate are responsible for their behavior.
Learning and being a willing learner is the obligation for all students. The school continues to understand that safety is a priority. Schools and classrooms need the support of the families to support the development of children. No child should be denied the opportunity to learn. Families need to support and to demand that their children are safe in a class and instruction is not disrupted by inappropriate behavior.
Parents are responsible to partner with their student’s schools to implement with fidelity the school behavior standards and school and classroom rules to improve
their student’s outcomes. Parents shall help their students learn the behavior standards of their schools and classrooms.
