Here is a summary. Largest chess tournament ever....including any in Russia. More than 5300 players with probably more than 1000 teams. Each section had approximately 400 players.
Our two sections were huge - 395 players in the Under 1600 rating section with more than 60 teams. The open section had 328 players with more than 50 teams.
We had 6 players in 2 teams:
Wes Cannon and Peter Bertel in the open section. Brendan Berg/Josh Jones/Isaiah Paguyo/Will Cannon in the U1600 section.
· In the K12 championship, our team came in 30th place (Peter Bertel and Wes Cannon)
· In the K12 Under 1600 ratings, we came in 9th place overall (Will Cannon, Isaiah Paguyo, Josh Jones and Brendan Berg). This happened with a Sunday charge from 15th place to 13th place to finish in 9th place overall due to

· Will took 25th place overall with extra credit going to his onstage dance during the award ceremony.
· Isaiah had a terrific tournament finishing with a tie for 35th trophy.
· Peter took first place class award for best 1600-1699.
Everyone had ratings increases topped by Peter and Josh.
