Congratulations - SWHS Students take 1st and 3rd in
Congressional Art Awards
Grace Miller, 10th grade drawing "Shadow's offering" was awarded 1st place and 3rd place went to senior Marissa Nicol. Her piece of art work will be displayed
in Washington DC congress hallway for one year, together with other districts' winners. Grace's 1st place award includes 2 round trip plane tickets to DC for the art celebration there.
At the award ceremony April 22, Monday during the snow storm, we were surprised to see SW students came in 1st and 3rd in this annual 5th district Congressional Art Competition. Third place went
to senior Marissa Nicol, who will attend Cooper Union in New York City next year on a full-tuition merit scholarship."
