I know it is not purple. I do recognize that not everything in the world comes in that color. This is a picture of the Amaryllis blooms on my desk right now. There are four huge blooms.
I guess we have been lucky so far and today might be the "second" day of winter but having color provides a pleasant environment. It does not have to be dark and cloudy everywhere.
I know I respond to the sunlight. I feel better, I probably act better and generally feel more upbeat. It is hard to look at the flowers and not feel that the promise of bight sunny days is just right around the corner. And even if that is not true, I can pretend there is sunshine here at school.
