Ice and snow be careful

Winter has been a long time coming this season. Thus, we have not developed our winter legs nor our winter driving skills.

Prediction is ice over and under this thin layer of snow. That makes for some interesting and potentially dangerous driving and walking conditions. Plan on some extra minutes to get to school, find a parking spot and walk safely into school.

Remember the hill on 47th is a bit steeper then you remember. Just because you parked successfully does not mean the block or two walk is safe. Ice is slippery. In a normal winter season we would be experienced winter, bad weather drivers and walkers. This has not been a normal season and we forget that falling hurts.

Please be careful around school. We do not want fender benders. We definitely don't want damaged people.
