Subject: March 19th ACT Information for Juniors
We are excited at SWHS that all of our 11th grade
students will have the opportunity to take the ACT, free of charge on March
19th, 2013. This email is the first of
six that will be sent to students/families, providing information about the ACT
exam.
The March exam provides you with significant advantages:
•You
will have an ACT score to submit with your fall college applications •You may do better than you think and
begin to see additional opportunities beyond high school •The test provides you
with practice if you choose to re-test in the spring.
•You
will not have to pre-register for this exam.
It is taken care of by SWHS.
The best preparation for scoring well on the ACT is solid
school work. You can be actively doing
other activities to help you prepare.
These include:
•Accessing
the “PREP ME”-ACT prep tool found
in your Naviance account.
•Accessing
the ACT website for test preparation sample questions.
•Utilizing
ACT prep textbooks found in libraries or book stores.
•Get organized. Don’t
leave preparation to the last minute.
