St. Olaf Jazz Festival and Southhwest Students

It was a busy weekend for SW students. I was with 2 jazz combos, Josh Jones and the Dynamics and Cosmic Troubadours, at the St Olaf Jazz Festival on Saturday. We were the last school of the day to play for the 4 jazz clinicians. Each group played one number (Black Coffee and 500 Miles High, respectively). Both groups were really amazing, expressive, engaging and creative in their solos and ensemble work. Very positive feedback from the clinicians. I feel so fortunate to work with such talented and dedicated students.
