Problem with Gradebooks and Parent Portal

We are experiencing significant problems with our electronic gradebook and then what displays on the Parent Portal.  At this point, please assume what information you are seeing on the Parent Portal does not reflect your son's or daughter grade as of today.

The District is working rapidly to correct the issue.  It is equally frustrating here as we attempt to encourage students to do their best and keep families informed.

As quickly as I have confidence that the system is repaired, I will let you know.

Please do not have those strong, supportive conversations with your child until you (and we) know the information posted is correct.  The long weekend will allow for time to make the corrections.  At the same time I know you are anxious to celebrate with your children.

Remember there is no school for students on Friday, January 18 and the school is closed on Monday, January 21.

Turn On The LIghts Jan.19

Subject: Turn On the Lights - Reminder for casual event this Saturday January 19th

Hello everyone,

As a reminder - This Saturday January 19th, the 'Turn the Lights On' committee cordially invites you to the casual introduction event for this project.

At this event on Saturday you will learn about our plans, progress and ideas for upgrading our stadium experience.  These upgrades start with our desire to bring state of the art stadium lighting in time for the Fall 2013 athletic seasons.

If you have an interest in learning more.... if you have a desire to help financially..... if you wish to volunteer.... This Saturday is the event for you.

See the details of the event below and come prepared to feel the energy from this exciting project.

We also want you to learn more about our 2nd event in March that will be a formal fundraising event... Please join me, you will not be dissapointed.

You are invited to: TURN ON THE LIGHTS!
We are thrilled to announce plans for installation of permanent lights for our athletic field at Southwest High School. The realization of this long-term goal has been made possible by generous gifts plus a donor who has offered to match, dollar-for-dollar, any funds we raise up to $300,000!

Please join us for a kickoff party to “Turn on the Lights.” Come meet our coaches, and members of the Lighting Committee to hear details of this amazing milestone.

A phase of this project will include renaming Southwest Stadium.  The new name will be: The Peterson-Fredrickson Athletic Field, in honor of some legendary Southwest Coaches.

We will share longer-term ideas for an upgraded ticket/concession booth, improved entrance, new scoreboard, and artificial turf.

WHEN: January 19, 2013
TIME: 7:00 to 8:30 PM
WHERE: Chatter Box Pub
Admission:  Free - Donations for this project will be accepted and are encouraged!
