Thank you Southwest Community

Thank You, Southwest Community!

You gave over $20,000 to Southwest High School and its great students on Give to the Max Day!

Your gift will support academics, athletics, and the arts for every student at Southwest.

We were just short of our goal of 40 new donors, but thrilled with the support we saw from new and sustaining donors and the contributions we received--over $5,000 more than last year.

Thank you!

Southwest Give to the Max!

Today is the day to Give to the Max to the
Southwest Foundation's 2015-16 Annual Campaign!

  • Your gift will support academics, athletics, and the arts for every student at Southwest High School.
  • Your gift can help us meet a challenge match, too. A generous group of families of Seniors at Southwest has pledged a $1,500 match--if we can get 40 new donors on Give to the Max Day!
  • Your gift will provide the community great entertainment--if the goal is met, Principal Bill Smith has agreed to tap dance at an intermission of the spring musical!
The Southwest Foundation's Annual Campaign goal this year is $117,000, and we need the help of every family, alum, and friend of Southwest High School to meet this goal.

Every gift of any size helps. Give here this morning!

If you are a new donor, give now!

If you are already a supporter, give again!

Every donation made gives us another chance to win $1,000 from GiveMN. GiveMN's hourly random drawings will add $1,000 to one winning individual donation! If you really want to increase our odds, give more than once and in the middle of the night! Last year one of our supporters won Southwest a golden ticket in the very last hour of Give to the Max Day!
Whether you are a new supporter or a longtime one, we truly appreciate your contribution and your help in meeting our match! Please forward this email to friends and family!

Help us meet the match and give Southwest's students the educational experiences, equipment, and supplies they need!

Thursday Nov. 12 Give to the Mox Southwest High School Foundation

Help on Give to the Max Day November 12!

The Southwest Foundation needs every family to give to the Foundation and help support its important work at Southwest High School. Give to the Max Day, Minnesota's amazing outpouring of support for nonprofits, is a great time to support Southwest's students, too. This year, with your help, the Foundation will be funding:
  • science and math supplies and exam fees;
  • theater productions like the 9th and 10th grade play and guest artists and actors;
  • ACT preparation classes and tools to improve AP test scores;
  • a 9th grade academy to build community and school spirit;
  • student scholarships to make IB examinations affordable for all;
  • clubs, activities, leadership programs, and the student newspaper;
  • a Wellness Fair to focus on student mental and emotional well being;
  • field trips, classroom supplies, and all supplies for homeless students;
  • improvements to the school's weight room;
  • collaboration with Project Success;
  • the Passport to College program; and
  • technical personnel to support academics, the arts, and athletics at assemblies, classes, rehearsals and performances in the auditorium.

Our Give to the Max Day goal is $15,000 and 40 new donors. Schedule your gift today here or plan to give on November 12th!
