The national concert was held in Grapevine, Texas this past weekend, November 13th.  The Concert was under the direction of Dr. William LaRue Jones.

Great experience and tremendous honor of Acrea Kloehn.

Acts of Kindness and Concern - Thank You

Over the weekend some neighborhood families - adults and children - made chalk drawings and sayings on the sidewalks from the bus stop to the front concrete area in front of Southwest.

Monday morning students arrived with words of support and encouragement.  What a delightful way to start another week.  Thank you to the neighbors who took time from their busy schedules to share some thoughts and pictures with all of us.

Give to the Max Southwest Foundation November 17th

Give to the Max to Southwest!

This Thursday, November 17, is Minnesota's Give to the Max Day! Please help Southwest High School with a gift to the Southwest Foundation's 2015-16 Annual Campaign.

The Southwest Foundation's Annual Campaign goal this year is $111,000, and we need the help of every family, alum, and friend of Southwest High School to reach it. We are hoping to raise $25,000 toward our goal on Give to the Max Day. Your gift will support academics, athletics, and the arts for every student at Southwest.

Your gift on Thursday, November 17, can help us meet a challenge match, too. A generous group of families of Seniors at Southwest has pledged a $1325 match--if we can get 40 new donors on Give to the Max Day!

You can schedule your donation at any time between now and Give to the Max Day here!

If you are a new donor, give now!

If you are already a supporter, give again this year and your donation may win us another $1,000. GiveMN's hourly random Golden Ticket drawings will add $1,000 to the winning individual donation! If you really want to increase our odds, give more than once and in the middle of the night! Two years ago, we won a Golden Ticket with a gift in the last hour of the day.

This year there will also be two $10,000 Golden Tickets! Please consider giving often on Give to the Max Day to increase our chances of winning a Golden Ticket!

Whether you are a new supporter or a longtime one, we truly appreciate your contribution and your help in meeting our match and our goal to support Southwest! Please forward this email to friends and family!

Help us meet the match and give Southwest's students the educational experiences, equipment, and supplies they need!
How Your Contribution Will Help Southwest High School:

The Southwest Foundation helps fund all the student clubs and activities at Southwest. Clubs and activities help students develop new skills, apply what they are learning in the classroom, learn more about areas they are passionate about, and compete with other schools in academic subjects. A win for students, Southwest, and our community!
