Te results from the MN Music Listening Contest from Friday regional event. Southwest took 5 teams of 3 students each to compete at the UM Ted Mann Concert Hall.
Two of 5 teams brought back trophies to SW. Nora Doyle, Sophie Breen and Emma Richmond were regional champions with a score of 77.
The sophomore team of Alice Schmitz, Nathaniel Larson, and Sebastien Coll earned the runner up, 2nd place trophy with a score of 75. Only one team from each school can go on to the state contest on Feb. 1 at Augsburg College.
Please congratulate these music students as they identified composers and music from the Middle Ages to the present (featuring Jazz music) from this years Study Guide.
