Poetry Slam
The (K.)N.E.W. MN Youth Poetry Slam semifinals, presented by TruArtSpeaks, was Monday March 4 at the Capri Theater from 5-7 PM. Congratulations to Laresa Avent and Fatima Camara who move on to the finals on March 29 at the Heart of the Beast.
The second semifinal is on Monday March 11 at The Whole from 7-9 PM. Southwest Poets Tamera Larkins and Nazeem Cunningham will be competing.
Come out and support these young Southwest poets. You can also financially support and sponsor a young poet's trip to compete in the international BRAVE NEW VOICES Youth Poetry Slam Festival (BNV) this summer in Chicago.
