PTSA Meeting - Identifying and Working through Risky Behavior in Teens
Amy Mitchell and Alba Swenson, ADT (SWHS Alcohol and Drug Technician) will speak March 12 at 7:30 in the Media Center. Amy Mitchell MA LADC LSW and Certified Life Coach has been passionate helping families deal with addiction issues. She graduated from Hazelden's Graduate School of Addiction and also has a Masters in Youth Development form Concorida University. She has been a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Family Specialist Fairview Health Services working with teenagers struggling with their addiction and their families. Educating families in addiction issues and helping the navigate through the disease of addiction. Amy volunteers weekly at DWI court downtown Minneapolis. Now she is working on developing her own counseling practice and is doing motivational and educational speaking engagements.
