Greetings all,
Just a quick note about the Colorado Springs Music Festival
we attended last Saturday.
All three groups played well: Jazz Band and Wind
Ensemble each received a Silver rating, while the Chamber Orchestra took gold
and the Outstanding Orchestra award. Trophy will be on display in the west
office.
Seven of the nine soloists that were recognized were SW musicians (4
Jazz and 3 Orchestra).
Today (winds)and tomorrow (strings), SW students are
performing in the Solo and Ensemble Contest at Edina HS. Wish our talented
musicians well.
