Southwest, South and Henry named top high schools by U.S. News and Weekly Report

U.S. News and Weekly Report today released their list of top high schools. Southwest High School was named the number one high school in the state. A total of three MPS high schools received medals in the rankings.

• Southwest High Schools was ranked #1: #163 Nationally Ranked (gold medal)

• South High School was ranked #24 #948 Nationally Ranked (silver medal)

• Henry High School was ranked #28 #997 Nationally Ranked (silver medal)

The report reviewed 21,776 U.S. public high schools; 145 Minnesota schools made the rankings. In the U.S. News Best High Schools 2012 rankings, Minnesota has 7 gold medal schools, 42 silver medal schools, and 96 bronze medal schools.
