Southwest Prom 2012

Pastels were the color of the evening. Thie beautiful art work and location of the 2012 Prom - walker Art Center - match the lovely flowing gowns of the evening. Long dresses, many with open backs paraded the halls and swirled on the dance floor. Many of the lively colors were matched by the men's same-color vests. Tuxedoes were in fashion and those were also in numerous colors including the always fashionable black and whites. The evening was delightful except for some rain at the beginning. There was a long stairway climb to and from the dance floor. Way too many sweets continued to be delightfully displayed by a wonderful group of wait staff. Colors, music and fantastic location made this a special celebration for the Class of 2012 and 2013. Temporary tattoos were probably the newest entry into the Prom fashions. The introduction of spring colors presented a colorful display as compared to the more traditional black formats. Basic black remains stunning but a rainbow of pastels splashed against the Walker's white walls was equally as spectacular. Into the history books enter an evening of music and friends. Congratulations Class of 2012.
