NEw Water Fountains. We are pleased to
inform you that the Southwest Green Team (Community Education) was able to purchase the 5 new
filtered water fountains for Southwest (that encourage refilling a reusable
bottle) that have been installed this summer.
They are located by
the West office, by the media center, in the lunchroom, and by the East staff lounge.
The Green Team raised $4,000 through grants,
fundraisers, and donations (the Minneapolis Lakes
Girl Scout Troop 14202, Linden Hills Neighborhood Association, Lake Harriet
Lawn Care, and our Community Education Department).
We hope to secure two
more this year – one for the East Gym and one for the West Gym.
