Students Supporting One Another and Being Safe

I sent a "robo" call home today to all the families of our students.  It is one of those types we don't like to make - "we had a fight at school today."  Staff handled it quickly, no weapons involved and no harm to persons.

Always easy to jump to conclusions but the important part is that over 99.5 percent of our student were NOT involved and moved through the morning and the rest of the day in the manner we expect.  They had fun, talked to their friends, went to class and behaved in a manner that who impress you.

Teens make mistakes,  They make choices that are not appropriate.  We need to continue to support and guide them through they tough years into adulthood.  Those that cannot handle the responsibilities of being in high school will not be tolerated and will not be in school.

We work on safety very day.  The safety of every child and person in the building is very important.  Today, for a brief bit of time, our focus was not book or our future or success.  But as quickly as possible we made the environment secure and proceeded with the educational objectives.
