Southwest Foundation Give to the MAX oday and Thank You

Give to the Max to Southwest!

Today is Give to the Max Day!

Please help Southwest High School with a gift to the Southwest Foundation's 2015-16 Annual Campaign.

The Southwest Foundation's Annual Campaign goal this year is $111,000, and we need the help of every family, alum, and friend of Southwest High School to reach it. We are hoping to raise $25,000 toward our goal on Give to the Max Day. Your gift will support academics, athletics, and the arts for every student at Southwest.

Your gift today can help us meet a challenge match, too. A generous group of families of Seniors at Southwest has pledged a $1325 match--if we can get 40 new donors on Give to the Max Day!

If you are a new donor, give now!

If you are already a supporter, give again this year and your donation may win us a Golden Ticket worth $1,000.

GiveMN's hourly random Golden Ticket drawings will add $1,000 to the winning individual donation! If you really want to increase our odds, give more than once! Two years ago, we won a Golden Ticket with a gift in the last hour of the day.

This year there will also be two $10,000 Golden Tickets! Please consider giving often on Give to the Max Day to increase our chances of winning a Golden Ticket!

Whether you are a new supporter or a longtime one, we truly appreciate your contribution and your help in meeting our match and our goal to support Southwest! Please forward this email to friends and family!

Help us meet the match and give Southwest's students the educational experiences, equipment, and supplies they need!
How Your Contribution Will Help Southwest High School:

The Southwest Foundation funds academics, athletics and the arts at Southwest. In athletics, it gives grants for equipment and programs that will benefit all athletes. Go Lakers!
The Southwest Foundation supports athletics -- here, a great catch vs. Washburn!

Your donation will also provide:
  • math equipment and supplies and exam fees
  • books and curriculum
  • school clubs and activities
  • support for a new athletic first aid cart to better help injured athletes on the field
  • ACT preparation classes
  • 9th and 10th grade play, guest artists, guest actors
  • field trips, classroom supplies, and all supplies for homeless students
  • the Link Crew student mentorship program
  • the 9th Grade Academy to promote community and school spirit
  • equipment and supplies for the student-run coffee shop, run by special education students
  • Project Success to help students dream and plan for their futures
  • technical personnel to support assemblies, classes, rehearsals, and performances in the Auditorium
  • a Wellness Day and activities throughout the year to focus on student mental and emotional well being

Every kid counts, every dream counts, every dollar counts.

Thank you for supporting academics, the arts and athletics at Southwest High School--and, most of all, our great kids.
