The 2017 Haiku Contest is Now Open

The 2017 Haiku Contest is Now Open

This year’s theme is "Hito" which translates into "person/human".

Entries are due by Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

The Haiku contest is sponsored by the Minneapolis-Ibaraki Sister City Association (MISCA), the International Friendship Association of Ibaraki  (IFAI), the Minneapolis Public Schools and the Hennepin County Libraries.

Members of MISCA will judge the entries and send the top 30 in each category, K-5, 6-8, 9-12 and Adult, on to Ibaraki for final judging.

An Awards Ceremony for the winners and their families will be held in April 2017 at a site to be determined.

We look forward to your participation again this year. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. French, kyoko.french@mpls.k12.mn
