Minneapolis College of Art and Design Awards
MCAD acknowledges the honors Southwest has received in the 2010 Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards. Thanks to the hard work of Cecily Spano and Ben 9 of our students were judged by a panel of art education professionals from across the country to be among the best in the state by students in grades 7 through 12.
The students recognized are:Lodanne Assad, San Collin, Evan Griggs, India Johnson, Joseph Knox-Carr, Anne Lee, Jack Schneider, Sarah Douglass, Shane Vader.
The Artwork is on display at the Minnesota College of Art and Design.
Sarah Douglass received a Gold Key Award which automatically enters her in the national competition in New York. The artwork will be judged by panels of prestigious members of the arts and education communities.
