BLAST Day Student Council & SMILE NETWORK

Dear Parents,
As you may or may not have heard from your students, this year’s Student Council Blast Day fundraiser is through Smile Network International. We are working to provide 50 children who have a cleft lip or palate with a life changing surgery.

How many of you can remember a child being born in your lifetime-nieces and nephews, family friends, or your own child? Can you remember the happiness you had and how much you wanted to share with them? Now imagine someone being so disgusted by this little person, they want to destroy and abandon this incredible life.

Without your support, children who suffer from the cleft palate and lip will not be welcomed into their communities, get married, truly taste fresh fruit, and support themselves or any of the things that we take for granted.

As a member of the IB and global community, we at Southwest want every human being to live and learn with compassion and dignity. We encourage you to continue to support Smile Network and give 50 children a brighter future.

We would like to encourage you to talk with your kids about bringing in $15 by this Friday the 23rd; this will help us reach our goal of $25,000.

Thank you,
Southwest Student Council
