Starting with five very hot days developed character and strength. Then there was a rest - three delightful, long days of relaxation and fun.
This has felt like a really loooong week. Tuesday had to be one of the worst. Dirty air, high humidity and once again high temperatures made for a blast of welcome back. Today started in the 60s and is beginning to feel like the nice fall days we remember. However, this afternoon include the humidity and warmer temperatures and just are not condusive to study and seriousness.
Have to remember this is the end of day 8. All in all the routine is back and we are in school dealing with school issues. At the same time I think the heat and humidity has increased the number of impatient people and decreased some senses of reasonableness. I love the children. It is the big people that sometimes makes one wonder what happened to common sense.
Fall is coming because we are playing fall sports. Girls Soccer and Volleyball at home tonight. Come out and cheer the Lakers!
