Kids Voting

Hello, parents! Kids Voting Minneapolis is back this year.

Kids Voting Minneapolis (KVM) is a community-based, non-partisan civic education non-profit organization that supplies teachers with free classroom activities and offers students an authentic voting experience.

Students who go with their parents to their precinct polling place on Election Day, Nov. 6, can vote on their own Kids Voting ballot, in their own voting booth with an adult volunteer to help, if needed.

The Kids Voting booths will be open for voting from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In order to staff all 115 Minneapolis polling places, KVM needs many volunteers to assist students. It is always especially effective when parents are volunteers, so KVM is hoping you might consider becoming a volunteer.

Each volunteer serves a 3-hour shift, from 2-5 p.m. or 5-8 p.m. You can contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Will Howell at will@kidsvotingminneapolis.org or by phone at 612-568-VOTE (8683).

Our motto is “Vote Young Vote Forever”. Please help us instill in our young people the “habit” of exercising their civic right and responsibility to vote.
