Southwest Swimmers Lefebvre and Schwarzkopf Earn Awards at State and Academic All Americans

The SW swim team wrapped up a successful season Saturday night at the MSHSL state meet.

Peter Lefebvre finished 4th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.15, a new MPS record. He also finished 5th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.87.

Karl Schwarzkopf finished 4th in the 50 freestyle with a new MPS record and an All American consideration time of 21.06. He finished 3rd in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.45, a new MPS record.

These two boys garnered 60 points for a team total which imputed to Southwest finishing 12th overall in the class AA division.

On another note both Peter and Karl will be recognized as all-state for each of their events by the coaches association. They also will be recognized for their work in the classroom as Academic All Americans.

Thanks, Chris Aarseth, Swim Coach
