Southwest American Sign Language Silent Night Event

Here are some photos that were taken last Thursday night for the 1st ever ASL silent night!

Southwest Students arrived at 6:30. A deaf presenter signed a story about a Haunted House and after the students were divided into three groups and played different games all with voices off.

Every fifteen minutes they switched to a different game.  Snacks were provided and a total of 45 students attended.

If students were caught talking they were sent to “talking Jail” were they had to answer 5 questions in ASL to be let out of Jail.

We had 8 Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or interpreters volunteer to make this night a success!  It ended at 8 pm.

A quiet and fun time was had by all!
