The Southwest temporary walkway opens for its first day of people traffic Tuesday. The Link will be blocked on both ends and the Walkway will be the only way to travel between the east and west building without leaving the building.
All people traffic starting Tuesday at 6:00 am between the two units will be the Walkway. The Walkway will be open to people traffic 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The walkway will be CLOSED during class periods and OPEN during the change of classes. After 4:30 pm there is no way to get to lockers, rooms or hallways through the Walkway. Any entrance to the east unit after 4:30 pm will be thought doors 17 and 19 which normally will be locked.
All Community Education classes and other activities are scheduled in the West building. Entrance to the West building is through door 3, the front door and door 7 the athletic door. The East building is CLOSED at 4:30 pm.
The Walkway will remain in use until the area between the two units is covered and in use as kitchen and cafeteria which will probably be around Feburary.
