Three Southwest dance
students are performing this weekend with the big boys and girls at Intermedia
Arts in "Sister Soulo and Being Brothers" at 7:30 p.m. Iman and
Khadijah Siferllah-Griffin and Nate Kay join professional dancers from the
community and Southwest is on proud display. The twins do their
"Still Fighting" piece that they did first at Southwest and now have
expanded into an absolutely stunning dance piece of Social Protest. Nate
does a beautiful solo to Erykah Badu. Both of them got immediate standing
ovations from the arts crowd which happened only one other time in the show of
15 performers. Southwest was on everyone's lips. Go if you can it is a
fabulous show all around.
