Southwest Minneapolis Champions! - 10th Consecutive Division Title

We WON!

The Southwest Math Team won the division title for Minneapolis. This is their tenth consecutive division title, a streak stretching back to the time of Chris Geach, Cullen McMahon, Jesse Watson, and Sarah Abdelwahab.

The Varsity Team has earned an invitation to the state tournament, held in St. Paul on March 14^th.

I was very proud of the 47 students who made it over to South High School. Probably half of them rushed back to Southwest for the music concert.

Individually, Paul Heltemes finished in 1^st place overall. He earned an invitation to the invitational event (kind of a big deal) at the state tournament.

Simon Rothman finished in 2^nd place overall.

Also worth noting, Claire Weil earned a PERFECT score of 14 points. Truly remarkable, considering the questions that were on her events – pretty tough!
