Thank you Southwest Community

Dear Southwest Community,

Hot Notes on a Cold Night Cabaret was the best party of the year! Thank you for your tremendous support of Southwest High School students, in particular their involvement in the performing arts! More than 1,100 Southwest students participate in music, theater and dance, in classes and extracurricular activities. Your generosity will go far to create an excellent high school experience for many!

Our performing arts teachers identified general and specific needs to enhance the Southwest student’s experience. The money raised at Hot Notes will allow the music department to purchase its first full-size tuba, thereby growing the foundational sound the Southwest band needs! Voice lesson scholarships will be made available for choir students and the music department will purchase 15 classical guitars, a wonderful development for a program that has exploded in the past couple of years. The money will also help sponsor the the production of our wonderful spring musical, Guys and Dolls!

The success of a school depends upon the engagement of the school community - thank you Southwest for being engaged and being supportive of the students!

Sincerely,
Your Hot Notes Hosts, 2016
