This past weekend eighteen Southwest students competed in the 2013 Minnesota Classic Debate Tournament. Out of the over 300 participants, two Southwest juniors placed 5th.
Debate team members Henry Aoki and Russell Pekala placed 5th in Varsity competition in the annual Minnesota State Classic Debate Tournament. Both are juniors and have debated for the past three years.
Congratulations Henry and Russell. Congratulations to the entire Southwest Debate Team!
