MPS canceled after-school
and evening activities today due to the winter storm. Many people have asked
how the school district makes a decision to cancel events or close schools.
The District created a website that outlines criteria and factors that go in to the
decision. If you have questions, please go to the School Closing page
on MPS' website.

MPS has not yet made a decision about school on Friday.
If the decision is made
to cancel school on Friday, MPS will notify parents, students, staff members
and the community via traditional media alerts, social media, phone calls and
the school district's website.
