The Southwest Quiz Bowl (not Knowledge Bowl) Team ended the season last night with an over-time loss to top ranked Chaska which brought us a few questions away from going to state.
We tied for a spot to go to state but only one team advances so an over-time round ensued. It was heart breaking but the team was pure grace under pressure and was proud that the team advanced further than ever before.
I cannot begin to tell you the class and poise this group of students exudes and the ambassadorship they provide for SW. The team that almost won had a composition of 2 seniors and 2 freshmen; a combination that is not often seen but worked quite well and held their own again a team of all seniors.
Thanks again to all of the teachers that have prepare these students so well.
