Southwest won the Minnesota State World Quest, beating 2 time champion Chaska!
This means the team will be going to Nationals on April 24th in Washington DC. The team is happy and proud, although their humble nature did not allow even a glimmer of self-satisfaction.
The competition featured many schools from all over the Twin Cities, from St. Paul Academy to Mpls. South. Our modest Team 1, comprised of 2 seniors, 1 junior and 1 freshman, simply let their skills speak volumes and took home the main honors. Team 2 also faired well and were equally impressive in both academic and sportsmanship arenas.
I thank all of the teachers who obviously do a wonderful job preparing these students and their families for their continuing support.
