Minnehaha Creek Flood Planning
All of this is in the planning stages at this point. There are spots along the Minnehaha Creek that may endanger property -- for example Burroughs School. There are conversations about putting sandbag in strategic points. This are no definite plans for a call for assistance, but that may change.
Some Southwest students looking for service hours may pay attention to newscasts and other news media. A need for volunteers may be placed. Because we are on Spring Break it does provide a fair size volunteer potential group. The District may use the robot-call for a request for volunteers.
Repeat - all of this in planning and there is not a specific call to action at this time.
