The road and sidewalk conditions around school are significantly improved. But it is still winter and below freezing. The piles of snow limit parking. Plan extra time to park and prepare for a longer walk over slippery road and walks.
Side streets remain snow covered and get slicker as the morning traffic begins. The streets have been plowed and are wider than yesterday but still plan on more time and be careful at all intersections. A slight spin of the car and you could hit a walker on the street.
In front of the school continues to be congested in the morning. Great to drop off students but all the doors are open prior to 8:30 am. That means you can safely drop off a student at a door on Abbott or Chowen. Closer for the student and safer for the driver and cars.
Buses will probably continue to run a bit later than normal. Dress accordingly and plan on waiting a bit longer.
It is below freezing and surfaces are slippery. Please use caution driving and walking. Plan on some extra time to get to school or whatever your destination.
