American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program sponsors an oratorical contest annually to reward outstanding students. This weekend District 5 determined that Vienna Larche, Southwest senior, will represent District 5 in the regional contest in February. In addition to the recognition of winning the oratorical contest, Vienna was presented a cash award.
The regional contest is the qualifying round before the state competition. The winner could receive a $10,000 scholarship.
